This Privacy Policy explains how Line Chief collects, uses, discloses, and retains information in connection with the website, dashboard, API, and Chrome extension. By using Line Chief, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy.
1. Scope
This policy applies to information processed through Line Chief’s public website, authenticated dashboard, service APIs, and browser extension.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: email address, password, and account status when you register or sign in.
- Authentication information: login credentials, session tokens, and the Line Chief token stored in your browser extension.
- Website content: prompt text that you enter into supported AI tools when you invoke the extension, along with the optimized prompt returned to you.
- Usage information: request timestamps, button clicks, task type, model or provider selection, and basic product usage history.
- Device and log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and server logs used for security, diagnostics, and abuse prevention.
- Billing information: subscription status and billing metadata processed through Stripe. We do not receive your full payment card number.
3. Information we do not intentionally collect
We do not intentionally collect health information, personal communications, or a general record of your browsing history. The extension reads only the active prompt field on supported sites and only when you choose to use it.
4. How we use information
- To provide prompt enhancement and AI workflow guidance.
- To authenticate your account and synchronize the extension token.
- To process billing, deliver support, and send product updates.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues.
- To improve the service through aggregated and de-identified usage insights.
5. How we share information
We do not sell personal data. We may share information only with service providers and partners that are necessary to operate Line Chief:
- AI/model providers: prompt text may be transmitted to the model provider selected for your request so we can generate the output you asked for.
- Stripe: processes payments and subscription billing.
- Infrastructure and logging providers: host the service, secure the platform, and retain technical logs.
These providers may process data only as needed to provide their services to Line Chief or to you.
6. Retention
We retain account records, billing records, and usage logs only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, satisfy legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information under our control. API keys are encrypted at rest on our systems. The extension token is stored in chrome.storage.sync on your device.
8. Your choices
- You may stop using the extension at any time.
- You may clear the stored browser token from the extension popup or browser storage.
- You may request account deletion by emailing [email protected].
9. Chrome Web Store disclosures
The extension processes authentication information and website content solely to provide prompt enhancement. It does not sell data, use data for unrelated purposes, or use data for lending or credit decisions.
We only access the active prompt content on supported websites when you explicitly invoke the feature.
